Dear Prospective Cooperating teacher,

My name is Daniela Cisneros, I’m currently attending Chico State in pursuit of obtaining my
bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies/Bilingual Cross-Cultural option and Master’s of Education.
Within this program, I am required to be placed in a classroom where I get to expand my
knowledge and acquire an opportunity to encounter real life experiences that will allow me to
shape my approach of teaching. I’m extremely excited about this opportunity and hope to
develop skills and adopt important values.

Although this is my first experience teaching, I have many goals that I hope to attain. Being a
teacher is a lot of work and I know that in the little amount of time I will be student teaching I
won’t be able to acquire all the necessary skills but I will get an idea of what it feels like to be a
teacher. During this experience, I will assist you with anything. I will engage with every student
and help you guide them through classroom activities, assignments, and make sure they are on
task with all the necessary materials. Not only will this opportunity give me a first hand
experience of being in the classroom environment but will allow me to get an insight of the
development of lesson plans, tests, correcting homework and leading parent-teacher conferences.
With these new acquired skills, I will be able to decide what works best for me and my future
classroom.

Teaching is an extremely important profession in today's society. As a teacher, you are leading
the way for every single individual. You’re becoming that source of help for them and guiding
them to the right path. Coming from a small town, I know how important it is to have someone
to look up to. A role model that you can go to for help of any kind. Making a difference in a
community is definitely one of my top objectives in becoming a teacher. I will be molding future
generations and I’ll have the ability and power to teach my students, not only curriculum related
lessons but as well as life lessons.

I thank you for allowing me to be a part of your classroom. This experience will be an immense
help for myself and my future students. I will finally understand the importance of teaching from
a different perspective and learn different learning styles that will later be incorporated into my
future learning style.

Sincerely,

Daniela Cisneros
