Civil Engineering is a field of engineering that studies the design, manufacture,

management, and conservation of a variety of facilities not only buildings and
infrastructure but also includes systems to support a city, rural and urban areas. His
research topics are useful for the benefit of human life in line with the needs and
movements of humans themselves, such as bridges, river dams, reclamation projects,
road design and infrastructure, technology to protect people from disasters such
as; floods and earthquakes, environmental conservation in an area.

Studying in Civil Engineering, I will understand building elements such as

concrete, steel, asphalt, and others. I will also learn how to design strong, proper, and
efficient building structures that are adapted to environmental changes that occur. For
example, for an area with a high potential for earthquakes, the construction of
buildings and infrastructure must be earthquake-friendly.  After that, I will apply this
knowledge to the scope of my work later. Construction Consultant is one of the jobs
of the Civil Engineering Department that provides advice on development projects. 
Starting from giving suggestions on design ideas, to building techniques. The projects
that are usually carried out are toll road projects, bridges, sewage systems, pipelines,
water control systems, and so on.  I hope that after joining the world of Civil
Engineering I can have a pleasant job, make good friends and be useful for future
infrastructure development in Indonesia.  I also hope that I can become a better person
not only for myself and my family but also for the environment and be a good leader,
disciplined and responsible, to become a strong and inspiring woman, and useful for
the nation and country.
