Being lucky enough to have the opportunity to choose a science elective, I decided to choose to

take this Astronomy course because of my interest in the stars. I have always looked to the skies

with such amazement and wonder. What I have gained from this class was more than what I had

ever expected. Being able to understand our observable universe has taught me to feed curiosity.

There are many individuals who look to the stars and are unsure of what lies beyond our

atmosphere, and this is enough for them. I have had questions answered, which originally were

hard to understand. A valuable life skill I have taken from this class was to be able to seek

understanding of new concepts and ideas. My knowledge has been expanding while searching

for answers to these important questions. This affects my future with an advance desire to learn

new things and ask more questions, in order to gain new information and knowledge.

There were many connections between this course and other courses I have previously taken at

Salt Lake Community College. Fortunately, due to Covid-19, this was not my first online course.

The study habits used for this course were developed by other courses but cleaned and polished

during this class. The textbook and course assignments were developed in such a way that I can

learn in the most efficient way possible, on my own. Using diligent study time and being capable

of understanding new material, I believe I was able to get the most out of this course that I could.
