Joy is the ability to be content and rejoice in any circumstances.
Jesus taught about the vine and the branches and mentioned that “my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete” (John 15:11). The joy from Jesus is everlasting and no one will take away your joy (John 16:13). In whatever situation that you are in -- even if you are facing life's challenges, the Holy Spirit will empower you to rejoice, give thanks, and express the joy of the Lord. By your relationship with God through Jesus Christ, He said that “ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” The Holy Spirit can produce joy beyond your own efforts. [1]
