VERSE: 1 TIMOTHY 2:1-2
“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and
thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions,
that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”

1. REFLECT ON THE VERSE I TIMOTHY 2:1-2. AND RELATE TO OUR

SITUATION NOW.

In this verse of his letter to Timothy, Paul gives vital instruction concerning the
normal Christians life and maturing in the faith. His teaching touches on the role
of men and women, the qualifications necessary for elders and deacons, and the
desired conduct of people within the church but first of all, Paul touches on the
important issue of prayer. Old and New Testament saints alike have discovered
the power of prayer, and the importance of prayer, in the life of a child of God
and here, in his letter to Timothy, the apostle Paul urges believers to make
entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, on behalf of all men.

Our whole approach to God in our prayer life, should be one of reverence and
thankfulness humility, trust and love. And we should not be biased in our
prayers. For we are called to pray for all men. The saved and the lost, the rich and
the poor, the hurting and the self-satisfied and we are even to pray for our
enemies and those that despitefully use us. As children of God we have access to
our heavenly Father, who is a God Who hears and answers prayer. Let us boldly
approach the throne of grace and make supplications, prayers, petitions and
thanksgivings, on behalf of all men to the glory of God.

2.PROPHETS ARE MESSENGERS OF GOD, THEY ARE THE ONE

WHO TALKED TO THE PEOPLE ON WHAT GOD WANTS HIM TO
TELL US. NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GOD’S MESSAGE TO YOU?
AND HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE?

God’s message to me is very simple, total acceptance. Accept myself who am I &
others as they are. Just go on living as I feel right & accept the results. Life is
very simple, live a normal life & be happy with whatever God gives. Expecting
anything else than what we get is the misery.

3. PRAYER:

Dear Lord, I do thank You for a night of refreshing sleep this past night and thank
You for waking me up on the dawning of this new day. Be present with me
throughout the day I pray. Strengthen and keep me from all evils and dangers help
me to walk worthy of the calling, wherewith I have been called. If there are
burdens, I pray that You will carry them for me and if there are decisions to be
made I pray that You would give me the discernment and wisdom I need to make
the best choices. If there is busyness in the day I pray that it will not deflect me
away from relying on You as I ought. May You be glorified in my life today so
that when people look at me they see no one but Jesus in me. In Jesus' name I
pray, Amen.
