Course dates and time: Wednesdays, December 16, 23, 30, 2020 from 12:00-1:30pm.
Additionally, courses will be provided as a recorded Webinar at a later date.

Audience: Healthcare worker target audience, open to the general public

Course Description:
This course will review the impact of stress on the health, wellness, and job performance of
healthcare workers in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic. In this course you will learn and
apply mindfulness strategies and practices to help reduce stress and promote a positive mind,
body and spirit.

Course Prerequisites:
None

Course Objectives:
1. To understand the impact of stress on health, wellness and performance.
2. Describe the value and health benefits of mindfulness for increased self-awareness,
stress reduction, and a positive mind, body and spirit.
3. To identify and understand a variety of mindfulness practices and how to implement
them into daily life.
4. Learn and practice mindfulness activities for: Guided meditation, mindful breathing,
mindful eating, the wheel of awareness, progressive relaxation, yoga.

Materials Needed:
Comfortable clothing, water bottle, yoga mat or blanket (limited supplies available)

Course Outcomes:
At the end of this course, you will have the tools and resources to practice mindfulness in daily
life, helping you to be present and not caught up in negative thoughts. Naturally practicing
mindfulness will help to reduce and maintain low levels of stress, anxiety and depression.
