Centennial Book Reflection: 1 page

Word Count: 106 words

Time Spent on this assignment: 1 hour 30 minutes

For the Madeira 101 documentary, I was assigned Main and the Bluff. During my

research on the Centennial Book, I discovered that,

1. The cupola on Main is reminiscent of Mount Vernon.

2. The handsome curved pedimented doorway with engaged Corinthian pilasters

on Main is as fine as any colonial entrance.

3. The furniture in the front hall of Main came from Miss Madeira’s public spaces

in Dupont Circle.

4. Miss Madeira and Mrs. Roosevelt often sat on Main Terrace for tea.

5. The Senior Bell located on Main, was used to announce the end and start of

classes and they had someone working on it.

Strong in her Girls Centennial Book, pages 48 and 231.

I pledge that I have neither given nor received help on this quiz/test/assignment.
