Final Assessment

Research Proposal: Each student shall submit a research proposal that corresponds to the
topic of their final dissertation.

Due date: 14 December 2020, at 11:59pm IST

Total Grade: 50% of the overall assessment for this course

Details:

For your research proposal on the topic of your presentation, you will need to submit the
following:

 Proposed title of your dissertation

 An abstract of your dissertation
o Word limit is 300 words
 Methodology of your dissertation
o Word limit is 300 words
 Literature review of your dissertation
o Word limit is 800 words
 Annotated bibliography of your proposed research for your dissertation
o Include 6-8 scholarly secondary sources, or primary sources
o Word limit is 800 words

Formatting and referencing:

Referencing shall be made in accordance with OSCOLA or Bluebook.

Other details:
Plagiarism, in any form, will not be tolerated. For techniques and strategies of how to avoid
plagiarism, refer to the Session in this course on Plagiarism and ethical considerations in
research.

Footnotes (which are only to be used for citating sources) are not included in the word limits.
