Overall House:
1 - Where water heater is and what it does/how to fix
Water heater is outside kitchen door.
Water heater warms water.
To open it take off cover by pulling towards you and down and close it by doing
the reverse.
2 - Where gas shutoff is in case of earthquake
Lefty Loosey Righty Tighty
Located to right of water healer
Take earthquake wrench from box
Look for pipe on left that goes into ground
Lift ring up with left hand from pipe
Fit wrench onto knob
3 - Where electric circuit breaker is and how it works
Circuit breaker box located by hot tub
Connected to power lines
Connected to panels
Each switch is an on/off switch for every circuit in the house
On black circuit breaker switch from left to right
If you’re sure which switch has gone off push it off to the left and push it back till
it clicks on the right
When closing lid make certain it’s closed because water and electricity don’t mix
Breakers are safety devices that kill power
4 – Where water main is in case shutoff of water is needed
5 – Toilet/Plumbing repairs
If toilet doesn’t flush properly and poop/pee doesn’t go down, reach down and do
righty-tighty
Take plunger
Pull carpet away from toilet
Lift both lids
Get seal
When water seems to start going down, flush toilet again but be ready to turn off
the ankle stop so that water doesn’t overflow
If toiler flushes properly, you’re all done
If it’s still plugged, plunge again and repeat
If you can’t get the toilet to flush properly, call a plumber
6 – How to change the air filter
Take out old filter and get new filter from garage or closet

Get kitchen chair, go to hallway by room

Unscrew 2 screws, put them by floor
Take out old filter
Look for arrow to get right direction
Put screws back in
Throw old filter and put in garbage
This filter needs to be changed the first of every month
Get gloves
Clear workspace
Flush
Lift seat
Get toilet brush
Get Comet
Scrub
Get Pumice Stone
Sweep with Swiffer
Get wet wipe and scrub

7-How to clean bathroom

1.Take carpets up and shake off hair. Leave rugs in hallway.
2.Sweep hair from floor to back corner.
3.After you get dirt, hair, etc. in a corner, vacuum it up.
4.Use bath cleaner and paper towels to wipe floor. Use 4-6 paper towels to wipe up
cleaner.
5.Put rugs beck and put broom and vacuum away.
How do I know when I’m done?
Floor has no hair and it is clean
Tools are put away
Floor is dry

2 – How to troubleshoot Internet and cable outage
Netgear Wi-Fi Router
Spectrum Cable Modem
1.Turn little button off left rear

Count to 20 slowly
Press button
Wait for 5 lights to come on flowing white
2.If orange light shows on Netgear do this:
Turn off Netgear router
Unplug bottom powerplug on Spectrum cable modem.
Count to 20 slowly then plug in Power on Spectrum.
Wait for about a minute.
See that at least the power light is on, then turn on Netgear
3.Repeat number 2 with these changes:
A.Unscrew the top cable
B.Unplug yellow cable from Spectrum box
C.Wait one minute. Plug in top cable, plug in yellow cable, plug in power to
Spectrum box.
D.Wait to 2 minutes. After that, turn on Netgear router and wait to see if all lights
light.
4.If problem still persists, ask for service repairman to come to our house.
3 – How to reset cable
Pull out Spectrum cable box
Left=power
Middle=HDMI
Right=Coaxial

To reset TV cable box

1.Unplug left
2.Unscrew coaxial cable
3.Wait 20 seconds
4.Plug in coaxial and power
5.Turn on TV
6.Turn on Info
7.See a sign saying “Setting up TV.”
8.After 2 minutes, you’ll get a message saying, “Retrieving general info.”
9.Channel should start working after that.
4 – How to reset modem and router

Maintaining Kitchen:
1 – How to clean up after we eat/or prepare food
Put all ingredients back where you get them
Put food on kitchen table
Take green scrubby

Dry with paper towel

2 – Cleaning appliances and using appliances
Fridge:
Take Krud Kutter
Spray bottom
Take paper towel
Scrub away
Make sure temperature is at 1 snowflake
Make sure to leave room in back of freezer for air to circulate
Stove:
4 burners
When you set it to low it will keep something warm without burning it
Oven is for baking or broiling big dishes
On top of stove is oven light
To turn oven on press bake button at top of stove
Difference between bake and broil:
Bake starts flames from bottom
Broil starts flames from above
Baking isn’t as intense heatwise as broiling, so when you broil, you’re cooking at
high temperature which is technically used for meat
When baking in stove press bake button then up arrow to select temperature you
want to bake food at
After a few seconds a green preheat light comes on
When oven gets to desired temperature it will make a short beep noise and the
preheat light will go off
To turn off oven press clear off button and bake button
To broil press broil button
Set to either high or low
Microwave:
Don’t put metal in there
For power level type time for cooking then power level button then continue
pressing power level button to lower power level
When you get to P-0 the next level will be high again
If there’s smoke from oven turn on fan
Blender:
Fill glass cylinder with ingredients to blend
Put black plastic cap on top of glass
Make sure that pouring cap covers lip spout
To turn on press desired black button to select either smoothie milkshake or liquify
White button is pulverize

Crockpot:
Slow cooker
Used to cook oatmeal and meat stews
Fill the bowl with ingredients
Put cover on
Put into heating unit
Set it to either low or high to cook ingredients
When done cooking turn to serve which is a “keep-warm” button
Toaster:
Take bread
Place in slots
Toaster oven:
Main ones Toast, Bake, and Broil
Making Grilled Cheese
Take out metal broil pan and put on top of the oven
Take 2 slices of bread
Spread butter on top sides of each piece
Tale out 2 slices of cheese from fridge
Place both pieces of bread with cheese on rack in oven
Close oven door and press toast button
Press start
Blue light comes on after toast button is pressed
Quickly hit start button
After 5 minutes toaster oven will turn off, carefully take out grilled cheese
3 – Disposing of empty containers: recycle or garbage?
Blue can=recycle
Black can=garbage
If it’s garbage but in kitchen trash can which will go in black can by Cloud
Recyclable will have arrowed triangle and ill have 1, 2, or 6 on it
Glass is recyclable but plastic isn’t
If kitchen garbage can is full, take out bag, tie strings together bunny-ear style and
put it in trash can
After that, get a new bag and put it in can
4 – Sweeping kitchen; cleaning countertops and table
Sweep from fridge towards kitchen door
Collect debris at kitchen door with pan
Put in garbage can in kitchen

Start where toaster oven is

Take green scrubby and put soap on it

Scrub until gross stuff is gone

Get kleenex and dry
Same idea applies to main kitchen center and sink
Get towel and wipe counter

Maintaining Living room:

1 – Vacuuming rugs and floor
Roll vacuum out
Move table and chairs to floor off rug
Plug in vacuum
Press button
Start on right side going towards couch and move in slow patterns to the left
Go in opposite direction
You will have to hear a secondary click
After finishing press red tab to release collection unit
Take to garbage and press red button down to release into trash can
Snap container back into place on vacuum
Pull up cord
2 – Dusting tables and furniture
Get swiffer
Dust every wooden surface and remove items that are on there

Caring for Cloud:

1 – Feeding and treats and water
Two scoops in the morning and two scoops at 1:30 PM
If out of kibble go to garage, scoop food into jar, and close garage
One milk bone a day
Break one into three pieces
2 water bowls
One inside, one in cage
Fill it once a day
2 – Picking up poop and pee
Get bag
Scoop it up
Seal it
Put it in trash
Take bottle under sink
Spray pee stains
Take brush with handle by sink
Scrub pee off

Wash brush off for 5 seconds

3 – Applying flea protection once a month
The boxes of flea medicine reside in the left cabinet above dog food
It’s the purple box
Apply to Cloud once a month
3 applications in one package
It’s very poisonous so be careful
Cut scissors where indicated on back
Turn it upside-down
Hold Cloud’s collar
Squeeze into Cloud’s back
Throw away packet
Wash your hands
4 – Walking Cloud and giving her attention
Make sure she has water
Pet her
Give her piece pf cracker

Enter amount to pay, account number, expiration date, security code, full name,

Put receipt in orange folder

Maintaining Back Yard and Front Yard:

1 – Watering plants (front and back)
Get hose and water each plant for 30 seconds
2 – Trimming bushes that get too big
3 – Cleaning away cobwebs
Get brush
Brush corners and top of purgula
4 – Sweeping leaves from the back and front yards
Get rake and sweep
Get broom and sweep into dustpan

Take Comet and odor cleaner outside
Shake plenty of comet into garbage can

Use hose in backyard to spray water onto sides and bottom and insides of garbage

Empty dirty water from can into back corner of backyard where telephone pole is
After water is out spray with odor remover
Leave can in sun with top opened to dry out in the sun

Back Office:

2 – Make sure air conditioner is not left on overnight in back office
3 – Vacuum rug and bathroom
