DUSKBLADE A student of ancient elven spellcasting techniques, the daskblade combines arcane spellcasting with the combat skills of a warrior. These duskblades blur the line between your traditional mage and fighter, marrying the power of ‘magic with hand-to-hand combat prowess. Similar to their Eldritch Knight brethren, they wear armor when entering battle. However, they've learned to channel their spells into their weapon, to devestating effect SPELLCASTING When you reach 3rd level. you augment your martial prowess with the ability to cast spells. See chapter 10 forthe general rules of spelicasting. Your spel list is detailed below. Cantrips. You learn two cantrips of your choice from the askblade spell list. You learn an additional duskblade cantrip of your choice at 10th level Spell Slots. The Duskblade Spelicasting table shows how ‘many spell slots you have to cast your spells of Ist level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spells level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots ‘when you finish a long rest For example, if you know the Istlevel spell shield and have a Istlevel and a 2nd-tevel spell slot avaialbe, you can cast shield using either slot. Spells Known of Ist-Level and Higher. You know three Istlevel spells of your choice, chosen from the Duskblade spell list. ‘The Spells Known column of the Duskblade Spelleasting table shows when you learn more duskblade spells of Ist level or higher. Each of these spells must be ofa level for ‘which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this clas, you learn one new spell of Lst or 2nd level ‘Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the duskblade spells you know with another spell of your choice from the duskblade spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spel slots. Spelleasting Ability. Intelligence is your spelicasting ability for your duskblade spells, since you learn your spells thorugh study and memorization. You use your Intelligence whenever a spel refers to your spelleasting ably. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the DC for a duskblade spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one. Spell Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier ‘Spell Attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your intelligence modifier. ARCANE CHANNELING Beginning at 3rd level as part of your attack action, you may cast any spell you know of Ist level or higher, though your ‘weapon with a melee attack. The range of the spell changes to melee and is centered on the target hit by the attack. The ritual itself takes 1 hour of your full sttention, and only one weapon ean be attuned to you ata time. After the ritual is complete, you may use your weapon as your spel focus. Ifyou wish to attune a new weapon you can do so, ou simply must re- attune to the new weapon, while the attunement on your current weapon is forgotten, ‘Ac 15th level, when you cast a spell that normally targets only one erature using your Arcane Channeling ability, the spell can instead target two creatures within § feet of each other, Use the same attack roll for the second target. Ifthe attack hits the target, itis only effected by the spell not the ‘weapon damage from the attack. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, that creature has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes against 2 spell you cast before the end of your next turn, ARCANE VEIL ‘At 18th level, your constant channeling of arcane magic has. leftits effect on you.
