In the Dominican Republic (DR) 85% of the population is educated.
However, in the United States of America (USA) 99% of the population is educated. The literacy rate in the DR happens to be 87% this has to relate to the dropout rate of 14%. If the literacy rate is that low more people will drop out because they cannot read. Yet, in the USA the literacy rate it 99%, because of this the dropout rate is only 8.1% which is low compared to the DR. This does not make sense at all though because the DR has twelve years of schooling compared to the USA which has thirteen years of education. The two places have very similar years of schooling; yet, have such a difference in the education rate. These two places are practically the same in education; however, the USA is looking better because their percentages in education are higher than the DR. If I had the choice of the two places for schooling I would rather attend the schools in America.
