This standard has been prepared by ECISS/TC 9.
The responsible German bodies involved in the preparation of this standard were the Normenausschuss
Materialprüfung (Materials Testing Standards Committee) and the Normenausschuss Eisen und Stahl (Steel
and Iron Standards Committee).

Amendments
In comparison with DIN EN 10204, August 1995 edition, the terminology and nomenclature have been
amended and the number of inspection documents has been reduced.
