Rich or Poor- What (?)

Why can’t we be real ? In thoughts, in words

and in deeds. Should we allow material gain to
change our attitudes and way of living? I mean
this for those who once were evidently living a
difficult life and when turn of events come to
what they call “swerte’ or luck noticeable
negative changes make one a “different” person in
an artificial kind of life and maybe to make him
appear “overacting” .
To prove that God loves His people to live
life abundantly John 10:10 supports it. It’s an
assuring and beautiful passage- I would suggest
you open your Bible and understand its meaning .
Okay, let me write it here for your convenience –
“ The thief (the devil) comes only to steal and
kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they
(people) may have life and have it to the full
(abundantly)”.
Our article last week mentioned about some
people readily admit thei lot in life as a poor
being , and so there’s no reason to “struggle “ to
better live his life. But God does not condone
mediocrity.on His children. Let us also remember
this: when life favors us with sufficiency – a life
more than enough , He would not want to see us
being PROUD to show the change in status
from “rags to richess.” Yet, many of us display
this kind of attitudinal change . God is not
pleased wih such kind of attitude.
Pride is expressed in many ways- the way
you change your ways just the opposite of what
you were; the look in your eyes ; your aloofness-
when once you were a”mingler “ , this time you
become an exclusive individual as if you want to
avoid your old buddies; or you mingle with the
upper class and make them believe you are NOW
a somebody in your own right. You want to
appear unique ,now that you can afford to own
things you like;
It is not healthy to live a life of hypocrisy. No
matter how you act rich you can never hide the fact
of the original you. Whether rich or poor we are
to live a humble life-this is what God demands of
us?. Let’s not copy the lives of movie
personalities who live reel and real in portraying
their roles in stories. They are the people who
live in a world of make-believe.

Personally, I don’t like the idea of some

film makers or producers .in insulting or
humiliating a group of people’s belief or
conviction. The production of a film damaging the
reputation of Islamism by our brother Muslims
and the alleged belittling of their propjet
Mohammad is causing unrest among Muslims all
over the world. The Muslim community in the
Philippines is now petitioning with the Supreme
Court to ban the showing of such controversial
film in the internet against world viewing. . It’s
humiliating the Islam religion throughout the
world. I go for the wisdom of Anthony
Taberna of his Punto por Punto of ABS-CBN that
it would be good to have a Muslim member or
members in the Supreme Court so that the
Muslims will have their voice or sentiments
heard..
Respect for any conviction or religion is the
call of the time. If any non-Muslim wants to
“sell” his religion he does not have to destroy the
religions of others or mar the image of that
religion. .I’ve lived in a Muslim-dominated city
(Marawi) for years, studied. married and bore
children and worked there along with Maranao
friends and I saw, observed and knew how the
Islam believers revere the prophet Mohammad and
Islamism. They are very faithful in meeting their
obligation in worshiping the God of their faith.
Like any Christian religion no one has any right to
malign any man’s belief. No one has the authority
to criticize – much so doing it in the internet for
the world to view.
If you want to witness about your own religion
do it in such a way that you won’t be insulting or
hurting the other person’s conviction. I don’t
need to see that controversial film to elaborate my
position . I am here to present the view of an
individual on behalf of our Muslim friends who
are truly hurting of this issue.
In passing I heard on TV lawyer Harry Roque
saying that the controversial film has no lesson at
all. So, what could be the purpose of the
producer? Mainly to insult and humiliate ? It’s
unfair !

The 2013 elections filing of COCs or the
Certificates of Candidacy starts next week. Many
incumbents are for their reelection bid. There are
veterans in politics to re-enter and seek for any
position lower than their previous posts
. Politics has become a habit to some. Despite
knowing that they are not capable of being what
they want to be there are those who would file
their COCs on a “win or lose” stand. And this is
the problem of being too liberal in this country on
politics. We allow creation of different parties and
individuals to manifest any one’s desire to join the
race for whatever purpose he has in mind other
than the main reason to “serve.’
Don’t you (the would be candidate) know
that you are running for a “sacred” calling? Just as
a person’s vote is also sacred. Yes, you are !
.Think on this !

Read the daily newspapers, listen to radio
news and watch the television account on what’s
happening around the world and you will be
“entertained” with news on nations fighting against
nations over territorial domain, unsolved old time
conflicts, struggle to maintain supremacy , stalking
famine and poverty, terrorism, bloody protest
rallies, suicide bombers still on the go, abuse
against chastity, domestic violence , typhoons,
tsunami, earthquake and many more in alarming
magnitude and frequency.
Did I not say in previous articles that these
phenomena are the biblical signs of the end time?
Yes, they are. Instead of just feeling afraid, let’s
do something worth and better. Live a life that
would lead your soul to heavenly security. No
cause to panic. To obtain eternal life when Christ
Jesus returns (in His time) believe in the one and
only True and the Living God-Christ Jesus , the
only source of eternal salvation..
