1. Crisis is defined as a turning point in an individual’s life that produces an overwhelming

emotional response (Sheila L. Videbeck, 2017). Though crisis may not be at the forefront of
people’s minds, criss experiences are a part of life that have a potential to throw someone in
a state of disequilibrium.

Situation: At present, we are all facing crisis due to this spread of our unseen enemy, the Corona
Virus Disease-2019 (COVID-19).
A. What type of Crisis is this COVID-19?
B. Identify precipitating factors that triggers the spread of this virus/disease.
C. Identify resources (material, personal, social) available in dealing with this crisis.
D. What interventions must be made in order to allow an individual who is in a state of
disequilibrium to return to homeostasis amidst adversity?
2. Discuss Roberts’ Seven Stage Crisis Intervention Model (RSSCIM). This may help you in
answering questions in the situation above.
