Conflicts of interest is there when someone exploit there position for there

personal interest. For example a man is a lecturer in a university and he/she


exploit this position and ask the students to take his/her private tuition that's
the point of conflict. From the ethical perspective we should avoid these.

Conflicts of interest is that taking advantage of your professional position to


serve the personal interest.
1st example of conflict of interest :
Working part-time at a company that sells a competing product or service as your
full-time employer.
2nd example of conflict of interest :
Sharing confidential information about your employer with a competitor.
3rd example of conflict of interest :
Accepting a favor or a gift from a client above the amount specified as acceptable
by the company.

Since I have no idea which institution you’re attending what they have in their
records, so i can't describe what there documantaion states.

There are a number of players: you, the chair, the university where you are
interviewing, your graduate
university, your colleagues in the graduate lab, your graduate supervisor.

The chair : he is intrested in your research data.

Your Group member : there intrest is that you did'nt disclosed any vital
information about the research work.

The interest of Advisor: Thesis counselor interest to giving the principal


significant introduction on the method at a significant global gathering in a few
months.

I have Several options:


Give the data that they demand from you and not tell your group mates.
Give the information and tell your team when you get back.
Contacting your supervisor from the chair’s office to attempt to get his permission
to share the information
talking the chair out of his urgency in a brilliantly tactful, yet convincing way.
storming out of the Chair’s office, refuas to give data and , by reminding him of
your prior agreement to maintain confidentiality
