Let’s notice the outline
E-commerce Trends in Indonesia-2019

The pie chart shows the trends of e-commerce in Indonesia in 2019. The data is presented based on
shoppers’ spending categories: fashion, electronics and physical media, furniture and appliances, travel,
and hobbies. To start with, it can be seen from the pie chart that the most purchased product in
Indonesian online shopping platforms was in the travel category which comprised of exactly 45 percent of
the total.

Then, as you can see, the electronics and physical media was the second category that Indonesian
buyers spent their money on after travel. It was one fifth of the total percentage. Next, take a look at the
furniture and appliances category which was just slightly under 16 percent of the purchase. Another
category, fashion, accounted for fewer purchases which was 11.25 percent. Finally, products related to
hobbies made up about 8 percent of the total transactions.

Therefore, the category with the highest sale in e-commerce platforms in Indonesia in 2019 was the travel
category while the lowest was hobbies category.
