Welcome to Ikigai 2020: Mindanao Intercollegiate Convention In celebration of the Wolves Week 2020: Reinforced Ambitions towards one Mission, the Humanities and Letters Student Executive Council presents Ikigai 2020: Mindanao Intercollegiate Convention. Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being". The word refers to having a direction or purpose in life, that which makes one's life worthwhile, and towards which an individual takes spontaneous and willing actions giving them satisfaction and a sense of meaning to life. ABOUT THE CONVENTION This convention aims to advance our support to the different fields in the Humanities and Letters. This will be participated by students from our partner schools all over Mindanao with the goal to empower and promote the courses and disciplines under the Humanities and Letters and provide substantial knowledge and insights surrounding the theme lkigai. MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT IKIGAI 2020 is the first-ever Mindanao Intercollegiate convention initiated by the Humanities and Letters Student Executive Council of Ateneo de Davao University. This is the time when we convene together as one to enjoy our commonality. The Student Executive Council had raised efforts to gather impactful speakers to boost the interest we have now in our chosen field of study. We invited participants from different schools in Mindanao to engage in this convention; to open opportunities for expanding networks for our upcoming programs. Let us be one in empowering our courses and be each other's support system. This moment, let us feel the spirit of unity as we enjoy the convention. Let us strengthen our reasons for being by having an exact cause as to why we chose the direction we are currently following. After this convention, we hope to appreciate more the things we love doing and which we are good at. May this be a reason for us to go on and pursue the dreams we have for ourselves every day. Thank you for accepting the invitation, and we hope that you are in good shape! ~ DUR SPEAKERS To deliver the goals of this event, we present the roster of esteemed speakers that will be joining us in this convention.
