Application of management by tourism development is an effort to advance tourism
objects. One of famous tourist spot in Jombang that needs to be developed is the religious
tourism of K.H's Abdurrahman Wahid who was 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia. This
religious tourism is located in Jombang and be the highest tourist visits every year. The purpose
of the research is to describe the strategy of Youth, Sports and Tourism Jombang Authorities by
developing religious tourism of K.H Abdurrahman Wahid.

The type of research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The focus of
research is using the theory of Suwantoro (2007) which consists of tourist objects or
attractiveness, tourism infrastructure, tourism facilities, management or infrastructure, and the
public. Data is collected by interview, observation and documentation. Data is analysed by
collection, reduction, presentation, conclusions.

Burial ground is the main attraction because it is the only burial ground of ulama and
national leader in Indonesia by the concept of a single-line burial ground family. In addition,
there are also the INHA Museum and Attauhid Monument as a tourist attraction. The availability
of tourism infrastructure and facilities has been fulfilled even though there are several obstacles.
Those are unrepair road, the long distance to tourist areas, and unavailability of main
transportation to get to the tourist area. There are negative impacts for some traders from
changes the road access, namely turnover decrease and go bankrupt. So it can be concluded that
in the process of developing the religious tourism of K.H's Abdurrahman Wahid, it is already
good, although there are still some obstacles by pilgrims and traders feel.
