PROCEDURE
Introduction Time
- Have your students silent for 10 seconds before you begin
- Script: I want you to picture a time you disagreed with someone. Maybe you both wanted to play with a
toy, or someone cut in line. These things happen all the time, and it’s very important we know how to
handle them! Does anyone know what a conflict is? (When people disagree about something) A resolution 10 mins
is the way people decide how to fix a conflict.
- Go through each scenario under ‘Conflicts’ one by one, asking the students for ways to solve them. Write
the solutions on post-its and stick them next to the conflict
Body Time
- Script: Those were some wonderful resolutions everyone! Now I want you to think of a conflict you have
had and how you solved it.
- Give the students time to think by passing out the worksheets
- Tell the students how to create the flap book (cut the dotted line, fold vertically along the solid line) and
15 mins
write their names on it
- Have your students write about a conflict they had and how they resolved it in the appropriate place on
their work sheet
- Any extra time may be filled with coloring
