QUESTION 1:

A) The three delay methods/strategies will be identified and explained below:

1- Delay in decision to seek care.

2- Delay in reaching care.

3- Delay in receiving care.

After examining the three delay methods on ABC business, the second method “delay
in reaching care” would be the most suitable for this business. Having said that the
business is not looking to cut their cost, it won’t be appropriate to delay the process of
scanning the environment, looking for targeted segmentation, and then purchasing raw
material for the products, however, it would be better to delay the process of
implementing or publishing their new trendy products until further notice for a set of
reason, such as: old trends/products is still selling and they have abundance in stock,
or, the targeted segmentation may not be ready yet for such a trendy product.

B)

– Demographics: demographics segmentation includes aspects like age, gender,

ethnicity, marital status, and income. The ABC business might have chosen a
demographic segmentation of both male & female. Ages between 27-40, where they will
probably be willing to spend a significant amount of money into something unique and
trendy. Marital status would be married, or married with kids, because they are the
segment of people who will probably be buying furniture for their homes. Income would
be med-to-high as these segments only will be able to afford their product.

- Geo-graphics: Geographic segmentation includes dividing your “segmented

customers’ based on a geographic basis. Specific cities, states, countries, region,
international region. As ABC business is operating in the US. It would be expected to
set a geographic segmentation as the 8 states they are providing services to, they make
a deeper segmentation based on the demographics segmentation done earlier and see
which state/states is the most suitable to target, probably they are looking for large
populated states, like California for example.

- Psychographics: Psychographics segmentation is used to target customers based on

their beliefs, personal traits, values, lifestyle, interest and other aspects. An appropriate
psychographics segmentation for ABC business is to target customers with interest in
furniture, décor, interior designs and such things, also, they need to target customers
with trendy and modern lifestyle.

- Behavioristic: behavioral segmentation is used to target behavioral aspects of

targeted customers; this includes factors like buying occasion, user rate, loyalty,
attitude, status and other. A projected segmentation for ABC would be special occasion
purchases (parties, weddings), medium to strong customer loyalty, medium use, and
positive attitude customers

QUESTION 2:

A)

B) Yes of course, buyer’s momentary mood can have a huge impact on the buying
decision process of customers. To expand, compare between two customers, one’s
having a good mood and the other one is having a bad mood. The customer who is
happy would have a completely different purchase from the customer who is having a
bad mood. To relate to “delicious treats”, the company is selling chocolates and gift
products which are usually require a good momentary mood to purchase.
C) The Maslow’s hierarchy of Needs will be explained below:

Maslow's hierarchy of needs can be defined as “a motivational theory in psychology

comprising a five-tier model of human needs, often depicted as hierarchical levels within
a pyramid.”

Examining this method, delicious treats satisfy and fulfills the psychological part of
esteem needs and belonging and love needs as it achieves prestige and feeling
accomplishments.
