Course overview: Using MDA 8086 based micro kit is used to


work with the 8086 instruction set. Wincomm
software is an windows based interface used
to execute the programs through PC for the
micro kit. The kit is serially interfaced with
the PC.

1. Overview on 8086 micro kit. Study the operating modes of the kit.
2-3 Study the 8086 instruction format. Executing low level program using
8086 instruction set.
4. Execute the equation in micro kit (A+B)-((C/D)*E)
5. Understanding serial monitor operation and wincomm and execute a
simple program in wincomm.
6. Introduction to 8255 interface and 7-segment. Simple program using
7- segment display.
7. Introduction to LED interface and decorate LED display using 8255
interface.
8. Viva
9. Introduction to DOT Matrix interface. Display using DOT Matrix.
10. Display Character using DOT Matrix.
11. Introduction to Keyboard interface. Simple program to control
keyboard interface.
12. Depending on key stroke display control in seven segment/ LED/DOT
Matrix.
13. Introduction to LCD interface and simple code exercise.
14. Lab Quiz.
