In short story “an epic unwritten”, the author states the circumstances of qadirpur and its people

particularly pichwa before and after partition of india and Pakistan. The story began when a fierce battle

broke out in Qadirpur with incredible bloodshed everywhere. The Jats along with pichwa on which

Qadirpur’s entire fame rested fought with full valour and bravery. Majid who sat guard, seeng the light

beyond trees struck the drum. As soon as the drum was struck, chaos broke out in the houses of

Qadirpur. Everyone was confused and rushed out to find their clubs and aligned themselves for battle.

Kalwa also joind pichwa.

Pichwa and tidda were at odds because of their mutual female interest billo and nasira. The quarrel

festered for several months but they never got along. Pichwas mastery in banaut raised many suspicions

among people of qadirpur. Some called it magic, some charm and some ascribed his bravery to maula ali

but unconcerned he always shoed off. eventually battle was won and Pakistan was created. On hearing

the news of partition, mian insisted pichwa to fly the flag of Pakistan but knowing that qadirpur is not in

the bounds of Pakistan, pichwa abandoned the idea and flew the flag of his wrestling group with which

many people were enraged. As soon as the Partition was announced, Terribly confused, some people

like naim mian left qadiepur and afterwards wrote letter to allah razi describing his circumstances in

Pakistan upon which pichwa got furios and cursed naim mian. After that when jats took qadirput,

pichwa also left for Pakistan where he was not the same pichwa he was in qadirpur. In Pakistan he

wandered looking for job house and food.
