Dear students,

As a part of the English 1 course, you are required to write an essay on one of the topics listed below.
The following topics relate to your study course, and I believe that you know about them more than I do.

Your task is to pick a topic and write a 1000-word essay on one of the topics. In your essays, you should
explain what the topic is, what are its aims and goals, its role on the market, its organization, etc. In
short, you should give a brief overview of the topic.

The whole essay must be in English. You are allowed to use online sources. You are allowed to use your
student’s books for any of the courses that you are taking at “CEPS - Center for Business Studies.”

Note: you can go in as little or as many details as you like. You can write about just one special case of
the topic, or about the topic in general. You are free to write about anything that relates to the topic in
any way.

The topics are:

- E-commerce
- Operating systems
- Programming languages and their use
- Artificial intelligence, machine learning and e-learning
- The future of IT

You should turn in your papers in .doc or .docx formats (Word, not PDF). In the body of your paper, do
not forget to write your name and the topic. These papers will be graded, so try to write them the best
