FLOATING SLUDGE ON A SETTLEMENT TANK

The video 5 shows that the problem is floating sludge on a settlement tank. The mainly
reason is when entrapped in floc, excessive grease or oil cause floating biomass. The effect of
this problem is if it is too thick which is 5 inches or more, the difficulty removing it will
increase and it may need a tanker to remove it. In order to solve this problem, it is
recommending to use a powerful hose pipe with high pressure and simply spray until it all
sinks. Next, ladle and broom or something that will suffice it perfectly for this job also can be
used to sink the sludge which is simply put the ladle or broom in and beat the sludge up
vigorously until it fibrous really sort of thin grainy sands. Moreover, use a normal pump and
let the pump suck the sludge into the well. Last method that can use to keep slugs from rising
to the surface is a fixed sprayer system which educate the surface of water and stops the
sludge from rising to the surface.
