brass to the approval of the Engineer.
All bolts, nuts, washers etc., used anywhere in the assembling of outdoor mechanical
installations and flanged pipe work installation shall be of stainless steel 316 only.
All bolts nuts, washers etc., used anywhere in the indoor installation shall be of steel
quality grade 8.8 electronically galvanized or cadium plated.
11. In the Event of Discrepancy
In the event of any discrepancy between the Tender Drawings and the Specification, the
Engineer’s decision as to which shall be followed shall be final.
12. Pressure loss calculation
As static pressure is given in the drawings or specification for the equipment as a
guidance only, Contractor has to calculate actual pressure loss based on approved shop
drawing. The equipment should be ordered based on actual pressure loss. Motor
selection shall be based on the calculated external static pressure, internal pressure
losses, and medium dirty filters plus 25% of the resulting total static pressure.
Contractor shall provide external static pressure calculations to verify the equipment
selection. Each equipment unit external static pressure shall reflect the actual ductwork
pipe work/ installation.

13. Certificate of Origin
Certificate shall be submitted form SGS, LLYODS or any known inspection service to
certify that the origin of offered material is as per specifications. Alternatively Contractor
should submit certificate of origin for all equipments and to be certified from the Chamber
of Commerce and UAE embassy in the country of origin.
14. Contractor’s Site Organization
a) The Contractor shall at all times keep upon site competent and experienced staff
with a full and proper knowledge of all aspects of the engineering service
elements of the Contract works to allow the proper and timely execution of the
works.
b) The Contractor must submit details of his proposed technical staff responsible for
individual technical services along with resume and testimonial.
c) The Contractor shall at all times employ on the works one or more competent
agents or foremen specifically for the engineering services elements of the works
who shall be empowered to act for and on his behalf in every way.
d) The Contractor shall designate a senior member of his office staff to be his
representative in all matters concerning the engineering services elements of the
works. The representative shall be an experienced engineer-designer, skilled and
competent in this scale, type and class of work who shall be authorized to
coordinate the work in the Contractor’s offices, between his offices and site and
between the Contractor and his suppliers, to maintain liaison with the Engineer
