This Assignment is worth 40% of your assessment for FOOD2320/8320

It is due at 5 pm on Friday in week 10. Submit via Moodle as pdf.

Your response is limited to 5 pages (excluding cover page, table of contents, references and appendices).

Your assignment will be graded based on the following criteria:

2. Correctness – is your response factually correct and well referenced.
3. Presentation – professional writing quality, aesthetic, clarity and conciseness.
4. Engagement – evidence of extensive reading and engagement with the subject matter.

Chose a country and describe that country’s biggest challenge with respect to food borne pathogens.

• Provide evidence that your selected pathogen is the biggest challenge in that country.

• Describe the pathogen and how it causes disease including molecular mechanisms.

• Describe what foods are impacted by the pathogen and the sampling plan used to test for it.

• Describe the methods used to detect or quantify the pathogen.

• Suggest improvements that could be made to reduce the impact of the pathogen.

• Add anything else that is important or interesting.
