Santa Claus is coming to town. I believe that when you listen to this song, the first
thing you think about (of nghe hợp lý hơn, không thì dùng the first thing that
crosses your mind) is Christmas. So what is the relationship (connection) between
my introduction and my topic today? I tend (have an intention of making/ intend to
make) to make a real Christmas for orphans in the Village of hope located in Da
Nang city. That’s why ‘A cosy christmas’ is generated (created).

For those who don’t know about orphans, orphans are children who are abandoned
by their parents. Some luckier children will be taken care of by their grandparents
or their relatives but how about others? They will have to go to the loving house
where they don’t have to worry about their life. But more importantly, loving
house is the place where they will be given happiness, which their parents cannot
bring to them. At loving house like the village of hope they will be lived (live in) a
real family in their daily life. There are 120 children aged between 6 and 18 living
and studying in14 families of the village, which include (including) Son Ca, Hoa
Mi, and Vanh Khuyen. Each family is under the management and supervision of a
mother and an emulation board. The village gives these children the opportunity to
study and fully develop their characters to become useful citizens in the future.

As I have mentioned before, I want to make a cosy christmas for these children. To
make this come true, there are a few steps that I need to follow. First, these
children haven’t known anything about Christmas before, so introducing the origin
of Christmas to them is the most important thing I have to do. Secondly, I will
show them some Christmas songs and teach the children to sing/dance along to the
songs. Then, I give them a chance to decorate their own christmas trees with
ornaments, lights or presents, whatever they like. which is a symbol whenever we
mention Christmas. After that, they can keep their christmas tree as a symbol of
Christmas and do whatever they want (không có nghĩa gì). And the last one
(lastly/finally), I’ll give them some presents I have already prepared as a reward
for their enthusiasm and hard work. That’s all the activities I want to do for a cosy
christmas.

Let’s come to the part: telling my feelings about what I have done to the
community. As a student, making a plan for people in my community, especially
orphans, is quite difficult. I am not old enough to calculate and work out such a big
plan like this. But if I am given a chance to do this, I will not regret about what I
have done to help the community. Doing this helps me become confident to share
ideas in front of a number of people. Secondly, it will also raise my awareness of
the issues that other people deal with and will enhace/improve important social
skills like empathy and teamwork. Thirdly, it reduces stress and offer many health
benefits. Last but not least, the huge merit for me is my social circle will be
expanded. I will have a chance to meet new people and develop my relationship
with people having the same passion. Lastly (này bằng với last but not least rồi),
after doing this, I feel that/(am proud of what I have done for my community to
make it a better place)have done something good for my community and helped
make a difference for a better life.
