ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the efficiency of automated computing in Local

Government Unit of San Andres Treasurer’s Office. The study is descriptive and the data

gathering tools used were interview. The findings of the study showed that the automated

computing is efficient to their transaction because it makes their work easier and faster

than manual computing. Problems encountered in the operation of office automation were

assessed as ‘Often Encountered’ and office automation were high and indicates a positive

significant relationship. The results showed that office automation has positive impact on

their work as it helps them to finish the transaction on time. It is recommended to train

the employees, especially the older workforce, office automation concept basics, and the

most common form of self-government. Priorities of strategies to promote the

performance of office automation systems be initially identified in LGU San Andres and

the need for in-house expertise in trouble-shooting should also be addressed through its

Information Technology (IT) experts.
