Among the four modes of transportation maximum exports and imports are using shipping mod
as an outland transportation. By feature it’s the slowest one but comparatively to other countries,
our conventional methods, corruption, disorganized port system add fuel to make our shipping
process more slow. We can easily settle-up this problem with our existing technical support in
Bangladesh. Here is the full process which is a collaboration of two existing digital tools.

Step 1:first exporters/importers need to create an merchant account in the customized website of
customs and those bank which will provide the service of custom works.
Step 2:then exporters book port /importers get the information of goods coming from foreign
countries to port warehouse.
Step 3:exporters/importer have to provide the product’s characteristics and quantity.
Step4:based on the product’s type and quantity the website will ask for confirmation of necessary
documents(LC,Invoice,Shipping bill etc.) and money.
Step 5:exporters and importers will pay through merchant card from any branch of specific bank
and exchange the documents(any types of custom documents) through EDE(Electrically
document exchange). This two precesses will save the time and courier cost and prevent physical
interactions.
Step 6:if everything will be okay then customs website will provide the dateand code and ask for
comfirmation.
Step 7: after confirming the date of booking/releasing goods the whole process will be end
successfully.
Implementation: All the processes will be occurred through automation so there is no chance of
delay or corruption. To prevent the internal data manupulation ICT ministry and ICT division
should take necessary steps and they will get the full authorization. Customs offices and port
authorities will get only their related fields authorization but they will be interconnected through
RDMS(relational database management system).
