The 3418/3419 provides three functions in a single card, SDI to · Proc. Amp. Controls
analogue composite conversion, audio extraction and frame
synchronisation. The encoding process employs the latest 10 bit · Incoming EDH analysed
technology with the added advantage of a cross colour reduction
filter to reduce the annoying colour patterning produced by fine · Built-in test signals
diagonal luminance detail. The audio extraction feature outputs two
AES3 signals from a common embedded audio group whilst the · Cross colour reduction
frame synchroniser automatically selects either the 525 or 625 line
· Two outputs of
reference input and also produces a tracking output for the 4423
regenerated SDI
audio delay unit. The unit monitors the EDH status of the input SDI
signal and reports any errors back to COSMOS which also has full · COSMOS remote
configuration and status monitoring capabilities. Comprehensive configuration and status
local control is provided by an on-board alphanumeric display monitoring
supporting a menu based control interface.

Note: The 3419 provides all the same features except the frame
synchronisation function
