The Ethics Position Questionnaire

This questionnaire is based on level of measurement. These survey questions were structured to try to
test at an interval level. This is often referred to as the 9-point Likert Response Scale, which measures
the respondent's level of satisfaction with a comment or the strength of their reaction to something
with '5' as a favorable response, '1' being the lowest (indicates an extreme view that is completely at
odds) and '9' being the highest (indicates the opposite extreme view that is completely at odds). Its
possible response format is structured and could either be ‘circle the answer’, ‘check the answer’ or ‘fill
in the blank’.

Interpersonal Reactivity Index

This questionnaire is also based on level of measurement. The survey questions were constructed to
attempt to measure on an interval level and it uses a semantic differential approach. Here, an object is
assessed by the respondent on a set of bipolar adjective pair (using 5-point rating scale). Its possible
response format is structured and could either be ‘check the answer’, ‘circle the answer’ or ‘fill in the
blank’.
