Procedure:

After receiving permission to use the questionnaire from their respective authors, data of N=258
young adults were collected from general population. Every participant was from various
settings across Pakistan, some were students, some were employees, some were unemployed,
and all participants were young adults, and their age range was ranging between 17 years to 35
years. Participants were asked to complete survey through google forms. Before starting the
questionnaire, every participant was asked if they are willing to fill the form then they can
proceed. Each participant was assured of their privacy as well as the confidentially of their
information and identity. They were also told that the data and information gathered from this
study would be used for research and academic purpose only after receiving consent and briefing
the participants through online (text messages or call) and after that confirmation message was
received from participants. Each participant was given consent form and demographic
information questionnaire along with Ruminative Thought Style Questionnaire (RTSQ), Perth
Emotional Reactivity scale (PERS) and self esteem scale. After data had been gathered, the
researcher analyzed the data through SPSS and the result were reported and discussed.
