Political – With the recent shift towards modern technology along with direct and indirect

positive reinforcements, Bangladesh has become an ideal place for entrepreneurs. The Govt. is
supporting many entrepreneurship training organizations such as Bangladesh Small & Cottage
Industries Corporation (BSCIC), Micro Industries Development (MIDAS) etc. The enforcement of
the last Industrial Policy of 2005 makes it clear that govt. is encouraging entrepreneurship and
that govt intends to act as a facilitator rather than as a regulator.
Strict labor laws by govt has it made it easier to operate
Entrepreneurs of Bangladesh get direct and indirect favorable support from the financial sector by the
way of entrepreneurship development policy. Bangladesh Bank is the most leading contributor of the
financial sector through financial assistance, interest free loan, micro credit facilities, collecting foreign
aid, subsidy and various ways for young entrepreneurs.

Industrial Policy 2005 aims to promote private initiatives as the main driving force of economic
development. Therefore, private investments have been encouraged. The role of state-run entities in
the economy is being reduced gradually and privatization of enterprises is being encouraged. This
shows the government welcomes private initiatives & investments, and the future of a telecom and
digital giant like Banglalink is positive.
