Introduction 1.1. This instruction applies to installation of Earthing Link Boxes with SVL type KZE-O-3. 1.2. The requirements of this instruction shall be taken into consideration in preparation for link box installation. 2. General 2.1 Prior to installation must be checked: = Box completeness must be checked according to the packing list and the drawing. Expire date of consumable materials must be checked. Visual inspection of the parts and materials. = The installation tools must be checked. 2.2 Link box installation start after: ~ Preparation of place of the final position of link box i finished = Power supply, lighting, etc. are provided. 2.3 _ Installation must be performed according to the requirements of this instruction and applicable national regulations 2.4 Tools, materials and personne!’s clothes used during installation must be clean. 3. Safety Instructions 3.1. Requirements of the national safety regulations must be met during installation. 3.2. Flammable materials shall be kept in a closed steel box positioned at a distance of atleast 2m trom the place of work. 3.3 Work with a gas burner must be performed according to national safety regulations related to the use of LPG. 3.4 All staff must pass safety briefing 3.5 Environmental safety regulations shall be observed during installation: the work area must be fenced; waste must be collected and removed for disposal 4, Earthing Link box Installation 4.1 Determine the position of earthing link box and earthing wires. 4.2 Place the link box in the final position and fix it wth 4 M12 bolts to a pre-prepared construction with the torque of 60 Nm. 4.3 Insert the earthing cables through the inputs of the link box and adjust to the final position, Earthing cable phasing must correspond to the cable line design. Mark the points of cutting and input on earthing cable sheath. Fit the earthing cable and mark the point of cutting on the sheath, 4.4 Cut the earthing cable according to marks, remove insulation on distance for fiting cable lug +5 mm, 4.5 Rasp the end of earthing cable conductors. 46 _ Rasp the cable sheaths with sandpaper to the length of 100 mm from the sheath cut off 4.7 _ Fit and press the lugs on the conductors (start pressing from the conductor cut towards to the sualtion according to the marks on the lug). x 4.8 Clean the lugs and rasped cable sheath with refined gasoline. 49 Fita 100 mm heat-shrinkable tube on link box input and shrink it 4.10 Walt for cooling of heat-shrinkable tube below +80 °C. Do not touch until the heat-shrinkable tubes cool down, 4.11 Insert the earthing cables through the inputs of the link box and bolt it to the insulator having pre- installed a bonding strip, 4.12 Torque of bolt connection of lugs should be 60 Nm. ‘Signature of OriginRKS-~Plast LLC Oo R PLAST Tnstallation instruction of Page Earthing Link Box with SVLs type KZE-0-3 | __7P-18-10-002 | 26 418 Connect the SVL and the bonding strip with a wire, SVL bolt torque shall not exceed: 25 KN for SVL type OPN-PB and 30kN for SVL type OPN- KP/TEL. 4.14. Clean the outer surface of link box inputs and earthing cable sheath with refined gasoline. 4.15. Fita 100 mm heat-shrinkable tube on link box input and shrink it. 4.46 Wait for cooling of heat-shrinkable tube below +30 °C, Do not touch until the heat-shrinkable tubes cool down, 4.17. Clean from dirt and dry inner surface of the link box housing. 4.18 Clean from dirt and dry inner surface of the link box cover and outer surface of housing in gasket area with refined gasoline. 4.49 Place the link box cover, handles shall be outside of the housing. Adjust the holes in cover with the holes in the flange of the housing, Insert M6 bolts in the holes and fix them with nuts. Washers under bolt heads and nuts should be used. Tighten the bolts with torquo 15-20 Nm. 4.20 After installation of the lid on the housing and bolt tightening. insert Signaling device Alpha MK2 included into scope of supply of box into unplugged holes on the lid to pravent unauthorized access to the box and tighten until stop like plastic collar. Two signaling devices Alpha M2 located cornerwise against each other should be installed per one box. 421. Important! Bolts should be installed in all holes of the cover — totally 24 pieces. If the set of fastoners is incomplete the sealing between the cover and the housing flange will not guaranteed. Torque of bolts connection should be 15-20 Nm. 4.22. Prior to operation ofthe link box make sure the housing is earthed with not damage earthing cable.
