Test Prep
The test had 60 questions in all that were equally spread over the three sections. Though the
sections were not clearly defined in the instructions (as in CAT 2009), one was expected to
identify the sections and distribute time accordingly.
This section of the test had an easy to moderate level of difficulty. The section consisted of:
§ 2 (table based/instructions based) Numerical-Analytical Reasoning sets (3 + 4 = 7
questions).
§ 3 individual questions on Data Sufficiency.
§ 3 individual questions on Logical Reasoning.
§ 1 set on Counting and Calculations (2 questions).
§ 1 set on Graph based analysis (2 questions).
§ 1 set on Logical reasoning – distribution (3 questions).
A careful selection of questions in this section was very important. One or two tougher sets were
there which could have been avoided or solved later (See the table given below).
One could avoid attempting individual DS and LR questions first as they involved more reading
and analysis per question as compared to the sets. The options given in some of the questions
were close. The problem sets in this section can be classified as:

This section of the test was of easy to moderate level of difficulty. The section consisted of:
The section covered all the topics as shown above. The distribution of questions was almost
uniform. Almost all the questions were based on fundamentals and involved few calculations.
Questions on Numbers and Algebra were found to be easy in comparison to the other topics.

The VA section of the test had an easy-moderate level of difficulty. The section consisted of:
Both the EU questions and the RC passages were of a fairly easy level in this paper. The
passages especially were short and easy to understand.
