    The Cornell Note-taking System is a note-taking method that involves dividing notes into three columns - a note-taking column on the left, a question column in the middle, and a summary/key words column on the right. During lectures, notes are recorded in the left column using telegraphic sentences. After class, questions are written in the middle column based on the notes. Later, only looking at the questions, the notes are recited aloud from memory. Weekly review of all previous notes helps with retention.
