4. SYSTEM DISASSEMBLY AND PART REPLACEMENT

4.1 Removing the Monitor Back Cover

(1) Remove the four rubber caps from the monitor and remove the four M3 screws.

(2) Standing in front of the system, close the monitor and remove the monitor back cover.

Note: Hold the monitor front cover when closing the monitor.

Note: The monitor back cover is latched at the hinges. Pull the cover upward at an angle in
the backward direction.

4.2 Removing the Monitor Filter

(1) Pull out the four rivets from the corners of the optical filter.

Note: A rivet consists of two parts. When installing a rivet, first insert the main body (a) and
then insert the pin (b) to secure it.

4.3 Removing the Monitor Main Unit

(1) Remove the monitor back cover.

(2) Disconnect the cable from the volume PWB on the monitor back cover.

(3) Remove the four M4 screws and remove the monitor shield.

(4) Close the monitor. Disconnect the two cables and two GND reinforcement lines from the
monitor main unit and also remove the clamps at three locations (M3 screws).

Note: The cable clamping is necessary to comply with EMC requirements and to prevent
noise. After the monitor main unit is replaced, make sure that the shields of the cables
are clamped and that the screws are tightened securely.

(5) Lift the monitor cap upward to remove it.

(6) Remove the four M4 screws from the hinges.

Note: Do not remove the screws with white paint on the hinges.
