Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us:

For Thou art the All-Hearing, the All- Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas ‫ربنا تقبل منا إنك أنت السميع العليم‬

knowing Sameeaul Aleem [127: ‫]البقرة‬
[2:127]

Our Lord! Make of us Muslims, bowing

to Thy (Will), and of our progeny a people
Muslim, bowing to Thy (will); and show Rabbana wa-j'alna Muslimayni laka ma $‫ربنا واجعلنا مسلمين لك ومن ذر(يتنا أمة‬
us our place for the celebration of (due) min Dhurriyatina 'Ummatan Muslimatan ‫ لك وأرنا مناسكنا وتب علينآ إنك‬$‫سلمة‬3‫م‬
2.
rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for laka wa 'Arina Manasikana wa tub 'alayna ‫أنت التواب الرحيم‬
Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most 'innaka 'antat-Tawwabu-Raheem [128: ‫]البقرة‬
Merciful
[2:128]

Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and ‫ وفي الخرة‬$‫نيا حسنة‬3‫ربنا آتنا في الد‬
good in the hereafter, and save us from the Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil ‫ وقنا عذاب النار‬$‫حسنة‬

chastisement of the fire 'akhirati hasanatan waqina 'adhaban-nar

Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance, make ‫ وثب(ت أقدامنا وانصرنا‬$‫ربنا أفرغ علينا صبرا‬
our foothold sure, and give us help against Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa thabbit
4. ‫على القوم الكافرين‬
the disbelieving folk aqdamana wansurna 'alal-qawmil-kafirin

Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or ‫ربنا ل تؤاخذنا إن نسينا أو أخطأنا‬

Rabbana la tu'akhidhna in-nasina aw
5. fall into error

akhta'na [286: ‫]البقرة‬
 Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like ‫ا كما حملته على‬$‫ربنا ول تحمل علينا إصر‬
that which Thou didst lay on those before Rabbana wala tahmil alayna isran kama
6. ‫الذين من قبلنا‬
us hamaltahu 'alal-ladheena min qablina
[2:286] [286: ‫]البقرة‬

Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater

than we have strength to bear. Blot out our
sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have

mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help
us against those who stand against faith

Rabbana wala tuhammilna ma la taqata ‫ربنا ول تحم(لنا ما ل طاقة لنا به واعف عنا‬
lana bihi wa'fu anna waghfir lana ‫واغفر لنا وارحمنا أنت مولنا فانصرنا على‬
wairhamna anta mawlana fansurna 'alal- ‫القوم الكافرين‬
qawmil kafireen [286: ‫]البقرة‬

Our Lord! (they say), Let not our hearts

deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but
Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba'da idh ‫ربنا ل تزغ قلوبنا بعد إذ هديتنا وهب لنا‬
grant us mercy from Thine own Presence;
8. hadaytana wa hab lana milladunka rahmah ‫ إنك أنت الوهاب‬$‫من لدنك رحمة‬
for Thou art the Grantor of bounties
without measure
innaka antal Wahhab [8: ‫]آل عمران‬
[3:8]

Our Lord! Thou art He that will gather

mankind Together against a day about ‫ ل ريب فيه إن‬X‫ربنا إنك جامع الناس ليوم‬
Rabbana innaka jami'unnasi li-Yawmil la ‫الل\ه ل يخلف الميعاد‬
9. which there is no doubt; for Allah never
rayba ri innAllaha la yukhliful mi'aad
fails in His promise. [9: ‫]آل عمران‬
[3:9]

Our Lord! We have indeed believed:

forgive us, then, our sins, and save us Rabbana innana amanna faghfir lana ‫ربنا إننا آمنا فاغفر لنا ذنوبنا وقنا عذاب النار‬

from the agony of the Fire dhunuubana wa qinna 'adhaban-Naar [16: ‫]آل عمران‬
[3:16]

Our Lord! We believe in what Thou hast

revealed, and we follow the Messenger. ‫ربنا آمنا بما أنزلت واتبعنا الرسول فاكتبنا‬
Rabbana amanna bima anzalta wattaba ِ‫مع الشاهدين‬
11. Then write us down among those who
'nar-Rusula fak-tubna ma'ash-Shahideen
bear witness [53: ‫]آل عمران‬
[3:53]

12. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and
anything We may have done that
transgressed our duty: Establish our feet
firmly, and help us against those that resist
Faith [3:147]
Rabbana-ghfir lana dhunuubana wa ‫ربنا اغفر لنا ذنوبنا وإسرافنا في أمرنا وثب(ت‬
israfana fi amrina wa thabbit aqdamana ِ‫أقدامنا وانصرنا على القوم الكافرين‬
wansurna 'alal qawmil kafireen [147: ‫]آل عمران‬
 Our Lord! Not for naught Hast Thou
created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us

salvation from the penalty of the Fire
[3:191]
Our Lord! Any whom Thou dost admit to
the Fire, Truly Thou coverest with shame,
14. and never will wrong-doers Find any
helpers!
[3:192]
Our Lord! We have heard the call of one
calling (Us) to Faith, 'Believe ye in the
15.
Lord,' and we have believed.
[3:193]
Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out
from us our iniquities, and take to Thyself
16.
our souls in the company of the righteous
[3:193]
Our Lord! Grant us what Thou didst
promise unto us through Thine apostles,
and save us from shame on the Day of
17.
Judgment: For Thou never breakest Thy
promise
[3:194]
Our Lord! We believe; write us down
18. among the witnesses.
[5:83]
19. O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a
table set (with viands), that there may be
for us - for the first and the last of us - a
solemn festival and a sign from thee; and
provide for our sustenance, for thou art
the best Sustainer (of our needs)
‫ سبحانك فقنا‬$ ‫ربنا ما خلقت هذا باطل‬
Rabbana ma khalaqta hadha batila
‫عذاب النار‬
Subhanaka faqina 'adhaban-Naar

Rabbana innaka man tudkhilin nara faqad ‫ربنا إنك من تدخل النار فقد أخزيته وما‬
akhzaytah wa ma liDh-dhalimeena min X‫للظالمين من أنصار‬
ansar [192: ‫]آل عمران‬
‫ا ينادي لليمان أن‬$‫ربنا إننا سمعنا منادي‬
Rabbana innana sami'na munadiyany-
yunadi lil-imani an aminu bi Rabbikum ‫آمنوا برب(كم فآمنا‬
fa'aamanna [193: ‫]آل عمران‬
‫ربنا فاغفر لنا ذنوبنا وكف(ر عنا سي(ئاتنا‬
Rabbana faghfir lana dhunoobana wa
‫وتوفنا مع البرار‬
kaffir 'ana sayyi'aatina wa tawaffana ma'al
Abrar [193: ‫]آل عمران‬
‫ربنا وآتنا ما وعدتنا على رسلك ول تخزنا‬
Rabbana wa 'atina ma wa'adtana 'ala
‫يوم القيامة إنك ل تخلف الميعاد‬
rusulika wa la tukhzina yawmal-Qiyamah
innaka la tukhliful mi'aad [194: ‫]آل عمران‬
‫ربنا آمنا فاكتبنا مع الشاهدين‬
Rabbana aamana faktubna ma' ash-
shahideen [83: ‫]المائدة‬
Rabbana anzil 'alayna ma'idatam minas- ‫ م(ن السماء تكون لنا‬$‫ربنا أنزل علينا مآئدة‬
Samai tuknu lana 'idal li-awwa-lina wa ‫ م(نك وارزقنا وأنت‬$‫ ل ( ولنا وآخرنا وآية‬$‫عيدا‬
aakhirna wa ayatam-minka war-zuqna wa ‫خير الرازقين‬
anta Khayrul-Raziqeen [114: ‫]المائدة‬
 [5:114]

Our Lord! We have wronged our own

souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow Rabbana zalamna anfusina wa il lam ‫ربنا ظلمنا أنفسنا وإن لم تغفر لنا وترحمنا‬
20. not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly taghfir lana wa tarhamna lana kuna minal- ‫لنكونن من الخاسرين‬
be lost. khasireen [23: ‫]العراف‬
[7:23]

Our Lord! Send us not to the company of ‫ربنا ل تجعلنا مع القوم الظالمين‬
Rabbana la taj'alna ma'al qawwmi-
21. the wrong-doers
[7:47]
dhalimeen [47: ‫]العراف‬

Our Lord! Decide Thou between us and ‫ربنا افتح بيننا وبين قومنا بالحق( وأنت خير‬
Rabbana afrigh bayana wa bayna
our people in truth, for Thou art the best ‫الفاتحين‬
22. qawmina bil haqqi wa anta Khayrul
to decide.

Fatiheen [89: ‫]العراف‬

Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and

constancy, and take our souls unto thee as Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabraw wa ‫ا وتوفنا مسلمين‬$‫ربنا أفرغ علينا صبر‬
23.
Muslims (who bow to thy will)! tawaffana Muslimeen [126: ‫]العراف‬
[7:126]

Our Lord! Make us not a trial for those

who practise oppression; And deliver us Rabbana la taj'alna firnatal lil-qawmidh- ‫ونج(نا‬ ; ‫ ل(لقوم الظالمين‬$‫ربنا ل تجعلنا فتنة‬
24. by Thy Mercy from those who reject Dhalimeen wa najjina bi-Rahmatika minal ‫برحمتك من القوم الكافرين‬
(Thee) qawmil kafireen [86-85: ‫]يونس‬
[10:85-86]

O our Lord! Truly Thou dost know what
we conceal and what we reveal: for
25. nothing whatever is hidden from Allah,
whether on earth or in heaven
[14:38]
Rabbana innaka ta'iamu ma nukhfi wa ma
nu'lin wa ma yakhfa 'alal-lahi min shay'in
fil-ardi wa la fis-Sama'
‫ربنا إنك تعلم ما نخفي وما نعلن وما‬
‫ في الرض ول‬X‫يخفى على الل\ه من شيء‬
‫في السماء‬
[38: ‫]إبرهيم‬
 O our Lord! And accept my Prayer. ‫ربنا وتقبل دعاء‬
26. Rabbana wa taqabbal Du'a
[14:40] [40: ‫]إبرهيم‬

O our Lord! Cover (us) with Thy

Forgiveness - me, my parents, and (all) ‫ربنا اغفر لي ولوالدي وللمؤمنين يوم يقوم‬
Rabbana ghfir li wa li wallidayya wa lil ‫الحساب‬
27. Believers, on the Day that the Reckoning
Mu'mineena yawma yaqumul hisaab
will be established! [41: ‫]إبرهيم‬
[14:41]

Our Lord! Bestow on us Mercy from ‫ وهي(ئ لنا من أمرنا‬$‫ربنا آتنا من لدنك رحمة‬
Thyself, and dispose of our affair for us in Rabbana 'atina mil-ladunka Rahmataw wa
28. ‫ا‬$‫رشد‬
the right way! hayya lana min amrina rashada
[18:10] [10: ‫]الكهف‬

Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with

insolence against us, or lest he transgress Rabbana innana nakhafu any-yafruta ‫ربنا إننا نخاف أن يفرط علينا أو أن يطغى‬
29.
all bounds 'alayna aw any-yatgha [45: ‫]طه‬
[20: 45]

Our Lord! We believe; then do Thou

forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For ‫ربنا آمنا فاغفر لنا وارحمنا وأنت خير‬
Rabbana amanna faghfir lana warhamna
30. Thou art the Best of those who show ‫الراحمين‬
wa anta khayrur Rahimiin
mercy [109: ‫]المؤمنون‬
[23: 109]

Our Lord! Avert from us the Wrath of

Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction Rabbanas-rif 'anna 'adhaba jahannama ‫ربنا اصرف عنا عذاب جهنم إن عذابها كان‬
31. grievous,- Evil indeed is it as an abode, inna 'adhabaha kana gharama innaha sa'at ‫ا‬$‫ر\ا ومقام‬$ ‫ا إنها ساءت مستق‬$‫غرام‬
and as a place to rest in. musta-qarranw wa muqama [66-65: ‫]الفرقان‬
[25: 65-66]

O my Lord! Grant unto us wives and

offspring who will be the comfort of our Rabbana Hablana min azwaajina X‫ربنا هب لنا من أزواجنا وذر(ياتنا قرة أعين‬
32. eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the wadhurriy-yatina, qurrata 'ayioni wa-jalna ‫ا‬$‫واجعلنا للمتقين إمام‬
righteous lil-muttaqeena Imaama [74: ‫]الفرقان‬
[25:74]
 Our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving Ready
33. to appreciate (service)
[35: 34]
Our Lord! Thy Reach is over all things, in
Mercy and Knowledge. Forgive, then,
those who turn in Repentance, and follow
34.
Thy Path; and preserve them from the
Penalty of the Blazing Fire!
[40:7]
And grant, our Lord! that they enter the
Gardens of Eternity, which Thou hast
promised to them, and to the righteous
among their fathers, their wives, and their
posterity! For Thou art (He), the Exalted
in Might, Full of Wisdom. And preserve

them from (all) ills; and any whom Thou
dost preserve from ills that Day,- on them
wilt Thou have bestowed Mercy indeed:
and that will be truly (for them) the
highest Achievement.
[40:8-9]
Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren
who came before us into the Faith, and
leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense

of injury) against those who have
believed.

Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of
37. Kindness, Most Merciful.

Our Lord! In Thee do we trust, and to
Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is

y‫ شكور‬y‫ربنا لغفور‬
Rabbana la Ghafurun shakur
[34: ‫]فاطر‬
‫ا‬$‫ وعلم‬$‫ رحمة‬X‫آمنوا ربنا وسعت كل شيء‬
Rabbana wasi'ta kulla sha'ir Rahmatanw ‫فاغفر للذين تابوا واتبعوا سبيلك وقهم‬
wa 'ilman faghfir lilladhina tabu wattaba'u
‫عذاب الجحيم‬
sabilaka waqihim 'adhabal-Jahiim
[7: ‫]غافر‬
Rabbana wa adhkhilum Jannati 'adninil- ‫ التي وعدتهم‬X‫ربنا وأدخلهم جنات عدن‬
lati wa'attahum wa man salaha min ‫ومن صلح من آبائهم وأزواجهم وذر(ياتهم‬
aba'ihim wa azajihim wa dhuriyyatihim ‫إنك أنت العزيز الحكيم وقهم السي(ئات ومن‬
innaka antal 'Azizul-Hakim, waqihimus
‫ فقد رحمته وذلك هو‬X‫تق السي(ئات يومئذ‬
sayyi'at wa man taqis-sayyi'ati
‫الفوز العظيم‬
yawma'idhin faqad rahimatahu wa dhalika
huwal fawzul-'Adheem [9-8: ‫]غافر‬
‫ربنا اغفر لنا ولخواننا الذين سبقونا‬
Rabbana-ghfir lana wa li 'ikhwani \$ ‫باليمان ول تجعل في قلوبنا‬
‫غل ل(لذين‬
nalladhina sabaquna bil imani wa la taj'al
‫آمنوا‬
fi qulubina ghillal-lilladhina amanu
[10: ‫]الحشر‬
y‫ رحيم‬y‫ربنا إنك رؤوف‬
Rabbana innaka Ra'ufur Rahim
[10: ‫]الحشر‬
Rabbana 'alayka tawakkalna wa-ilayka ‫ربنا عليك توكلنا وإليك أنبنا وإليك المصير‬
anabna wa-ilaykal masir [4: ‫]الممتحنة‬
 Our Lord! Make us not a (test and) trial
for the Unbelievers, but forgive us, our
39. Lord! for Thou art the Exalted in Might,
the Wise.
[60:5]
Rabbana la taj'alna fitnatal lilladhina ‫ ل(لذين كفروا واغفر لنا‬$‫ربنا ل تجعلنا فتنة‬
kafaru waghfir lana Rabbana innaka antal ‫ربنا إنك أنت العزيز الحكيم‬
'Azizul-Hakim [5: ‫]الممتحنة‬

Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and

(‫ربنا أتمم لنا نورنا واغفر لنا إنك على كل‬
grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power Rabbana atmim lana nurana waighfir lana

over all things. innaka 'ala kulli shay-in qadir
