First and foremost, I would like to thank god who is the ultimate source of wisdom, Knowledge
and understanding I would like to extend my gratitude to my mathematics teacher Miss

 Project Title

To investigate and to find out the causes of students engaging in an extracurricular activity and
how it affects their academic performance?
 Introduction

Extracurricular activities are activities which are performed by students outside the normal
curriculum of school or college, for students. These activities are generally voluntary as opposed
voluntary social, non-paying groups which often consists of other student in the same group.
Over a period of time, it was observed that the time the student spends on extracurricular
activities may have a negative effect on the students averages.
I chose this topic to find out if the time spent in extracurricular activities affects students'
performance academically. Some benefits of doing the research are that information collected on
student's extracurricular activity will be analyze and the problem will be recognized.
The source will be students from various groups. My intention is for students to better
understand the problem that they facing. I will carry out an investigation by selecting some
student's various groups and disbursing questionnaires to them. After collection of finding,
he/she will be fully able to analyze and access the extend of the impact on students' academic
performance within the involvement of extracurricular activities.
