1. What do you think are the best organizational response to employee stress

brought by organization changes? What are the worst?

The company should provide mental assistance to their employees and broad

understanding. They should also be motivated and given positive reactions and

conversation by the people surrounding them. They should be monitored every

now and then to notice and respond to stress warning signs. Provide them

enough rest period. The worst response is firing them. Laying off employees is

never a good solution to any problem.

2. Discuss the characteristics and factor required for the success of self-

directed teams and virtual teams.

They need to trust each other. It will be difficult to perform tasks if they don’t.

They should also communicate with each other. They should be diligent on

encouraging participation, dealing with conflict and appropriately rewarding and

recognizing team members. Their performance should also be monitored to

ensure that they are still productive even work is done virtually. They should be

acknowledged and rewarded so that they know that they are not forgotten.

3. Explain why men and women are sometimes frustrated with each other

communication behavior?

Men and women interpret things differently. They express in different ways. They

also have different perspective and views on a lot of things, such as love and
career. Women are more expressive compare to men. Women expect

elaborative explanation but men prefer to keep their explanation as short as

possible. Their differences result to frustration with each other’s communication

behavior.

4. Explain why communication is important in organization.

Communication promotes motivation by informing and clarifying the employees

about the task to be done, the manner they are performing the task, and how to

improve their performance if it is not up to the mark. It is a source of information

to the organizational members for decision-making process as it helps identifying

and assessing alternative course of actions. It helps in socializing. In todays life

the only presence of another individual fosters’ communication. It is also said that

one cannot survive without communication.

5. How does social networking increase a person power? What social

networking strategies could you initiate most to potentially enhance your

future career success.

Social provides an avenue for companies to not only engage with customers, but

also influence them with the right content that helps them make a decision.

People are easily heard through social networks The most important strategy is

to connect with as many people as possible. Expanding your network means you

will get more people who can help you enhance your future career success.
