Embedding Evidence and Elaborating:

Writing Made Easier

July 27, 2020

Paragraph Template:
Introduce the topic you want to discuss.
Then, insightfully, “Incorporate your quotation”
so that it fits seamlessly into your sentence.
Then, spend way more time elaborating on
your ideas and how they connect to the topic.
These ideas should also connect to the thesis

and move the essay towards a gratifying

conclusion. If you have more evidence to add,
“it goes right here”, and then you need to
ensure, again, that the elaboration is
appropriate and lengthy enough to prove your
point. Don’t rush the process. Really spell
everything out for your reader. Then, wrap up
your thoughts with a sentence that concludes
this paragraph AND leads you into the next
paragraph.
