In terms of intellectual competence and confidence, I have noticed that our culture is more on

this. The society sees us according to our intellectual standing as a student. I have noticed that

intellectually competent and confident people receive better treatment and different kind of

motivation compare to those who are not. Intellectual honesty, I have seen students cheat on

their exam just to get high grades. I have also met people who prefer to receive a just and

appropriate grade. For me, intellectual honesty is important because you are not cheating on

your professor or university, you are cheating on yourself. Imagine getting a 1.0 on a specific

class but you know nothing. Your future employer might get confused because you barely know

a thing about a specific class when you received a very high mark on it. Grades don’t define a

person but it is a basis on evaluating how much you know about a specific topic. For an

instance, I got a 1.0 on auditing therefore my employer expects that I am excellent in auditing

only to find out that I just cheated to get that grade and I barely know a thing.
