The individual District & Sessions Judges are the competent authority to up-grade and re-designate the staff at the above mentioned criteria. 04. For serving in this court or its allied benches, employees of district judiciary who are up-graded and re-designated on the criteria above would undergo departmental exam conducted by this court ie. LHC after successful completion of continuous service of prescribed years at same station. Transfer to other station on request within two years would deemed to be upgrade till 10 years. 05. The concerned District Account Officers are further directed for compliance in letter and spirit regarding up-gradation, re-designation and payment of arrears to the employees of above nomenclature without any delay. 06. In case of transfer to other district, the competent authority to up-grade and re-designate would be definitely where the employee is actually appointed/ posted for the first time of his/her service. This power is not given to the transferee District's Sessions Judge in Punjab. o7. In case of any further clarification, District & Sessions Judges in the Punjab will take guidance to this court.
