ABSTRACT

This is the report prepared on Everest Bank Limited, Kathmandu studying the five years
total income. It studies about the interst income, interest expenses and other income. Interst
expenses are included in the data to calculate the net interest. In interest income, it studies
about interest received by giving loans, advances and overdrafts, govt. securities, and
others. In interest expenses it studies income from commission and discounts, foreign
exchange, non operating income and other income.
This report is divided into 3 parts. Part one deals with the background of the organization.
This report presented the history and introduction of Everest Bank. The objective of the
study as well as assumptions and limitations are also presented in the part one. The part two
includes presentations and analysis of the data. Analysis comprises of average net interest
income, average other income and average total income and its ratio. The part three is
concerned with the conclusion and recommendations where as some findings and
conclusions are made.

The bank has been successfully overcome from economic and competitive barriers to
establish it as a financially sound unit. The bank has been able to cope with the
environmental changes. Skilled manpower, strong organizational culture, well established
goodwill in the market, strong top managerial team are some of its key success indicators.
Problem in ATM machine slow document processing, and slow customer complains
responses are some weakness of the bank. It has good network in and outside Nepal.
Branches are growing all over the country to meet the new customer are some
opportunities for the bank where as political instability, unethical competition and instable
rules and regulations in banking industries are some threats to it. Based on the knowledge
and few days hard work there are some recommendation given to the bank in part three like
the bank should have reach in the rural sectors, the bank must have smooth communication
channel, frequent training are required to employees to increase proficiency, inefficient
contribution of department should be analyzed.
