INT. INTERROGATION ROOM. NIGHT
DOMINIC DAVIS
DOMINIC DAVIS is a young, successful business man. He is an
honest man
He is sitting in the middle of the interrogation room,
hunched over with his hands clasped together with his head
down resting on his hands facing down hiding his face.
SUSPECT looks around the empty room to then look directly
into the CCTV camera.

FADE TO:

INT. OBSERVATION ROOM. NIGHT

OFFICER 1

Sitting in her office chair watching DOMINIC DAVIS through

the CCTV footage. OFFICER 1 turns to the other officers who
are looking at SUSPECT through the glass.
She stands up out of chair and picks up blank paper. She
walks over to OFFICER 2 and gives him the paper.
OFFICER 1 (CONT'D)
Don't fuck this up. Our careers are
on the line. He has to admit to
something, I don't care what. We
just need something, anything.
CUT TO:

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM. NIGHT

OFFICER 2
Slams closed file onto the table. He then leans over the
table. He looks towards the window to the other room then
back to SUSPECT.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Looks up from his hand directly to OFFICER 2.
So are you going to tell me what
I'm doing here?
OFFICER 2
2.

He sits down in chair. He looks back to the window then back

to DOMINIC DAVIS. He pauses to look at DAVIS and then presses
a button under the table to start the interrogation.
OFFICER 2 (CONT'D)
Interrogation begins at 17:34.
You are here on suspicion on human
trafficking. State your name for
the record.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Dominic Davis.
OFFICER 2
He picks up folder, sitting back in his chair. He opens the
folder keeping it close to him. He reads the files contents
to himself and when he appears to be finished he flicks
through the file again.
You are here on suspicion on human
trafficking. So now you know why
you are here. All you have to do is
tell us the truth.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Taken back, he positions himself so he is sitting straight.
He puts his hand in front of his mouth, realising this could
affect his reputation.

OFFICER 2
Was it hard keeping this quiet for
for so long Mr Davis; such a big
secret to hide especially with
having such a huge company.
surprised you could keep this
hidden? With thousands of eyes on
you and you managed to keep this
under the radar.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Slouches over the table, head in his hands
OFFICER 2
It's quite impressive really, a big
corporation like yours; running
it's own hidden network.
Now you're here to tell me and my
colleagues exactly what you have
done.
3.

OFFICER 2 closes the folder and places it carefully onto the

table as he leans in closer to SUSPECT.

Secrets are always so tricky to

keep, they always find their way of
coming out in the end.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Looks up directly to OFFICER 2.
My company has no secrets.
Turns towards the observation room, talks towards the room.
So where these allegations are
coming from I have no idea. Either
you have the wrong person
Turns back towards OFFICER 2 and leans in.
Or there is something else going
on.
OFFICER 2
Something else? That's ridiculous,
now stop lying and tell us the
truth.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Pleading and confused
What you're talking about? I don't
know.
OFFICER 2
Tell us the truth Dominic. We have
the evidence, we have the multiple
witnesses.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Witnesses? How do I have witnesses?
I'm telling you the truth.
OFFICER 2
We don't believe you.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Leans back frustrated.
How? What witnesses? I don't know
what else to tell you because I'm
telling the truth. I'm innocent.
OFFICER 2
4.

Quickly changes topic

A series of people have been going
missing Mr Davis, but you already
know this. Don't you? And it just
so happens that these missing
people have links to you and your
company.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Many people come to us, again as
you have said we are a huge
company, so I don't think it
couldn't be possible that 1 of the
millions of people that require our
service may have gone missing.
OFFICER 2 picks up the folder, insuring SUSPECT does not see
the contents inside. He pulls out pictures different people.
He puts the pictures one after another on the table on the
tape that has been put on the table.
OFFICER 2
A series of people have been going
missing MR Davis. Do you recognise
any of these people.
Places images carefully onto the X on the table.
They've reported missing for 4
years.

INT. OBSERVATION ROOM. NIGHT

CLOSE ON COMPUTER SCREEN.

DOMINIC DAVIS
They're clients of mine. Wait what?

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM. NIGHT

OFFICER 2
So you admit that you have links to
them.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Shocked and concerned
Wait how long have they been gone?
OFFICER 2 cuts off DOMINIC DAVIS.
5.

OFFICER 2
Missing for 3 years now, so if I
was you I would start talking
Puts the pictures back into the file. He places his hand on
top of the file.
DOMINIC DAVIS
He sits back into his chair and crosses his arms in front of
him.
DOMINIC DAVIS (CONT'D)
I thought you said 4 years.
OFFICER 2
Hw places his hand on top of the file, quickly dragging it
towards him.
Yes. That's what I said.
SUSPECT gets suspicious and stares at OFFICER 2
There is an awkward pause. OFFICER 2 is still leaning towards
SUSPECT.
OFFICER leans back into his chair, he tries to compose
himself.
OFFICER 2 (CONT'D)
It seems you're company has been
going through rough times recently.
Less clients, tough business, money
loss.
He looks towards the observation room and then looks back to
DOMINIC. He pulls his collar away from his neck trying to
make it easier to breath. He then undoes the top button of
his shirt.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Yes my company has gone through
rough times, as are most companies
now.
OFFICER 2 looks down into his file and frantically flicks
through blank pages.
DOMINIC DAVIS (CONT'D)
With the pandemic less people are
coming in, so that's why my company
has been suffering.
OFFICER 2 looks up at DOMINIC
6.

OFFICER 2
Looks towards the observation room then back at DOMINIC.
Yes, that is true. But it could
explain your involvement with the
trafficking scheme.
DOMINIC DAVIS
Could? Aren't you meant to know. If
you are going to bring me in, you
should know why you have brought me
in.
OFFICER 2
Frustrated
You are involved we have the
evidence right here.
OFFICER 2 looks back down flicking through the file, he
accidentally drops a blank page on the floor.

CLOSE ON BLANK PAGE

INT. OBSERVATION ROOM. NIGHT

OFFICER 1
In shock. Stands up straight, puts hands on her head and
backs up from the window.
Fuck.

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM. NIGHT

DOMINIC DAVIS
Is that your evidence?
Looks towards the observation room

INT. OBSERVATION ROOM. NIGHT

OFFICER 1
Grits her teeth
Come on, you better save this.

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM. NIGHT

7.

SHOT OF SUSPECT PICKING UP THE PAGE

DOMINIC picks up the paper and looks down at it
OFFICER 2

DOMINIC DAVIS
How is this your evidence? Is this
really what you are trying to use
against me.
OFFICER 2 is speechless, trying to say something but no words
come out.
DOMINIC DAVIS (CONT'D)
What kind of investigators are you?
You have nothing on me so you use
my company as reason. Aren't times
hard enough right now, without mad
police officers taking you away for
no reason. It would be a good cover
up couldn't it? A huge company such
as my own, involved in such
disgusting crime. So are you
involved in this? Or are you being
paid? I can't believe this. I'm
never going to get out of this now,
am I? Or My company? Brilliant.
CUT TO:

CLOSE UP OF CAMERA TURNING OFF

CUT TO:

MID SHOT OF DOMINIC DAVIS

DOMINIC DAVIS (CONT'D)
Someone told me that you have to be
careful with secrets; they're
tricky to keep. Always finding ways
of getting out in the end. There is
only so long you can stay hidden
under the radar.
He slowly takes the folder from OFFICER 2 and opens to see
the blank pages.

OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT OF OPEN FILE : MOVES FROM ONE SIDE TO
THE OTHER.

INT. OBSERVATION ROOM. NIGHT

OFFICER 1
Head in her hands, shaking her hands. Looks up at the window
and throws paper off the desk in frustration. Leans over
table, hands down with her head down shaking her head.
We can fix this.
