KH PLUS - 5 KG

Targeted increase in carbonate hardness

Pond fish have their "feel-good climate" at a pH value of 7.5 to 8.5 and a carbonate hardness of 5 - 10 °
dKH. SUI JIN KH PLUS is used to safely regulate the carbonate hardness. Please note that sufficient
carbonate hardness is necessary to stabilize the pH value. Both values are directly related. Attention,
insufficient KH buffering leads to dangerous fluctuations in the pH value!

The carbonate hardness (KH) is that part of the total hardness that is present as a compound of carbonic
acid (carbonate or hydrogen carbonate). Like the total hardness, it is given in ° dH (degree of German
hardness). Since the lime content adjusts (buffers) the pH value together with the carbon dioxide, the
carbonate hardness should always be at least 5 ° dH, a value around 8 ° dH is ideal.

KH Plus has an increasing effect as long as there are enough calcium or magnesium ions in the water.
Also check the GH value and increase it before you adjust the KH value. This increases the carbonate
hardness more effectively.

In the case of Koi, insufficient carbonate hardness is often an indicator that the animals do not develop
their sumi (black) or even lose it completely.
Use

Please measure the pH and KH values before and during use. Increase the KH value by a maximum of
1-2 ° dKH per day. 30g KH PLUS is sufficient to raise 1000 liters of water by approx. 1 ° dKH. Basically, the
dosage instructions are directly dependent on the complete mineral balance of your pond water.
Therefore there may be deviations in dosage and quantity.
