RELIGION

Supernatural
- Something beyond the material world. As such, it is a matter of faith.
Example: Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity
Social norms – are the unwritten rules of behaviour that are considered acceptable in
a group of society
At the heart of ethics is a concern about something or someone rather than
ourselves and our own desires and self interest.
Ethics consists of the standards of behaviour our society accepts but being
ethical is not the same as “doing whatever society accepts”
Standards and behaviour of the society can deviate from what is ethical.
b. IMPORTANCE OF ETHICS
Ethical behaviour is necessary for a society to function in an orderly manner.
Various steps for ethics improved society as a whole through laws and
regulations.
Ethical behaviour enhances good governance and accountability.
Ethics programs cultivate strong teamwork and productivity.
Statements/ phrase:
Do not curse in polite conversation and always avoid racist or discriminatory
comments.
You shall not make idols.
Death penalty
Stupid is a mean word.
Go, leave me; I cannot bear to see you longer.
