Hi Friend!
I never would’ve guessed a pandemic would close schools across the country and the
world...COVID-19 has truly shocked us all! We’re living through a time period that will be
written about in history books for generations to come.
If you suddenly find yourself home with your preschooler and not sure what to do to keep
them learning and playing, I’m here to help! I’ve seen a million different schedules posted online
suggesting how to keep your kiddos busy while they’re home from school…but honestly, those
schedules stress me out! I’m not good at sticking to strict times like that (my husband says I
need to work on my time management skills haha!)
Instead of a strict schedule, I’m offering you a flexible calendar of easy-to-prep activities.
Hopefully you already have these supplies at home so you don’t have to go anywhere (staying
home is the best thing we can all do right now!) but you can make any substitutions you need
to. Also, anything with an asterisk next to it is a freebie from my website (and is linked in
blue).
These fun activities are designed to work at whatever time of day you need them to. Want to
start an activity first thing in the morning? Great! Or maybe you don’t want to do anything
structured until after lunch. Perfect! It’s totally flexible!
Each day includes 4 suggested activity that cover literacy, math, fine motor, and gross motor.
But please feel free to pick and choose what works best for you! Mix and match these
suggestions to meet the needs of your little learners. Also, you can head to the blog post
linked on the calendar to read more about the activities.
This time is a little scary and nerve-wracking for all of us, but I know we’ll get through it.
And by using a calendar like this, our littles won’t remember the stress of this crazy
time…they’ll just remember the fun time they spent with you!
