Last Saturday, my family and I went for a holiday in Kuching, Sarawak.

The journey
to Kuching took almost 9 hours from Sibu. We went there by car. My parents have planned
the journey almost for a month. We took this opportunity to spend time together as a family.

We started our journey early in the morning. We reach Kuching at 6 o’ clock in the
evening. As we were in Kuching, we planned to visit our grandparents and invited them
having dinner with us. For the rest of the evening, we spend our times with our grandparents
and stay the night at their house.

The next day, we visited Sarawak Cultural Village which one of the tourist
attractions. There was a live demonstration of ancient techniques such as weaving, bamboo
carving and bead making. We took a tour around the place and saw a lot of model villages of
diverse culture in Sarawak. There were Iban longhouses, Penan hut, traditional Chinese
farmhouse and many more.

In the evening, we took a stroll at Damai beach which was next to Sarawak Cultural
Village. We did some fun activities at the beach such as jet skiing. We did take some photos
for memories. I also bought a few souvenirs such as bead necklace for my friends.

Our holidays end the next day. We packed our things and say good bye to our
grandparents. It was a fun visit. I miss my grandparents and wish to visit them again for the
coming holidays.
