Highlights

1. Long term data provides a better understanding of atmospheric parameters. Hence a

long term MODIS AOD data for a period of 19 years (2001-2019) has been used

for the present study.

2. MODIS Level 2 AOD data (0.1X0.1 ) nearly 10 kms has been used for the

present study

3. Seasonal Variation of Atmospheric aerosols is studied over Indian Subcontinent.

4. Abundance of atmospheric aerosols over Indian Subcontinent during Monsoon is

addressed

5. Aerosol loading over different regions in India is studied and the causes are reported.
